Prosecutor's Office Collects Evidence Related To State Loss In Corruption Cases Cost Of Substitution For Blood Treatment At Praya Hospital

JAKARTA - The Special Criminal Team of the Central Lombok District Attorney, West Nusa Tenggara, is collecting evidence related to tracing state losses in handling cases of alleged corruption in the cost of replacing blood processing at the Blood Transfusion Unit (UTD) of the Praya Hospital.

The Head of the Central Lombok Kejari, Fadil Regan, said that the Prosecutor's Office was looking for evidence of state losses based on the results of the case with the NTB Representative BPKP.

"So to see the losses, we still have to explore the results of data collection and clarify the parties," said Fadil as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 30.

The basis for the investigation of this case began with the alleged delay in the payment of replacement fees for blood processing at the UTD Praya Hospital worth Rp. 2.7 billion.

This case was investigated since early 2021 based on reports of allegations that the replacement fee for blood treatment had not been paid since 2017. More than three years, this replacement fee was allegedly not paid.

In the regulation, the replacement cost of blood processing for one bag is IDR 275 thousand. Since 2017, the Praya Hospital has distributed at least 10,250 bags of blood.

From the investigation process, Fadil said that there were at least 15 people who had provided clarification, one of whom was the Director of the Praya Hospital.
