Full, Emergency Room of Tidar Hospital Magelang Special For COVID-19 Closed
MAGELANG - The Emergency Room (IGD) of Tidar Hospital, Magelang City, Central Java, specifically for COVID-19 patients was closed because it was full.
The Daily Head of the Magelang City COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Joko Budiyono, said that the emergency room capacity of the Tidar Hospital was no longer able to accommodate COVID-19 patients.
"It will be closed first and if later there are patients who are asymptomatic, they can go home and can be replaced by other patients", he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 30.
Joko said the closure of the ER was specifically for COVID-19 patients, while other patient services were still being served.
Joko, who is also the Secretary of the City of Magelang, said that related to the full capacity of the beds for COVID-19 patients, the Magelang City Government plans to make an emergency COVID-19 hospital.
"This emergency hospital is planned to be located in GOR Samapta, Magelang City", he said.

Meanwhile, the Spokesperson for the Magelang City COVID-19 Task Force, Dr. Intan Suryahati, said the capacity of the isolation beds for COVID-19 patients at the Tidar Hospital previously amounted to 94 and has been added by utilizing the ICU room to become 107 beds.
"Even though it's been added since some time ago it's been 100 percent full", she said
