There Are 246 New Cases Of COVID-19, PPKM In Kramat Jati Is Tightened

JAKARTA - Three pillars are tightening the implementation of micro-scale Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases.

"The basis for carrying out the tightening is due to the addition of 246 positive cases as of June 30, 2021", said Aiptu Suwardi, a member of the COVID-19 Task Force in Kramat Jati Urban Village, East Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 30.

Regarding the handling of COVID-19 patients, Suwardi said that the health public center in the district will determine whether the patient will undergo self-isolation at home or not, a designated isolation place, or a hospital if the symptoms are moderate to severe.

For those who are self-isolating at home, the health public center will periodically monitor the patient's condition until the test results state that they are cured.

Currently, the handling of COVID-19 cases in the Kramat Jati Village consists of 20 people undergoing treatment at the Wisma Atlet COVID-19 Emergency Hospital, while the remaining 226 are self-isolation at home.

If there are residents who are self-isolating at home, the COVID-19 Task Force and local Neighborhood Association administrators will spray disinfectant and put stickers on to make it easier to monitor by task force officers.

To break the COVID-19 chain, the Kramat Jati Village Task Force will continue to remind the public to apply the 5M, namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining a safe distance, avoiding crowds, and reducing mobilization and interaction.

The task force is also actively conducting testing, tracing, and treatment to anticipate the spread of COVID-19 whenever there are additional positive cases.
