Sad News From Tangerang City, As Many As 213 People Died Due To COVID-19

JAKARTA - Mayor of Tangerang, Banten, Arief R Wismansyah said the number of COVID-19 cases in his area per day reached 11,185 people, with details of 654 people still being treated, 213 people died and the rest have recovered.

"COVID-19 cases in Tangerang City during the last two weeks experienced a very significant spike and addition of daily cases. Therefore, we must be disciplined in implementing prokes," said Mayor Arief after reviewing the UPT Labkesda, reported by Antara, Monday, June 28.

Then the number of occupied ICU beds in all hospitals in Tangerang City is currently 96.06 percent. "At the hospital, the BOR for the ICU is 96.06 percent. Meanwhile, the beds for treating COVID-19 patients are 93.46 percent," he said.

For handling, the Tangerang City Government has maximized all health facilities such as the Puskesmas which are used as emergency rooms in first aid to residents who experience symptoms.

"For those with mild symptoms, we are isolating in RIT, this is an effort to reduce the burden in the hospital which continues to grow every day and the increase in cases," he said.

Then, to prevent transmission in the environment, the Mayor has asked the Camat and Lurah to coordinate with the RT/RW Task Force to report all developments so that if needed, quick handling can be done.

Then residents are also asked to cultivate the nature of mutual cooperation to help those who are undergoing independent isolation by providing food assistance and so on.

Because handling COVID-19 in the environment is the collaboration of all parties and fostering disciplined awareness in implementing health protocols.

"If anyone has a background of health workers, they can be empowered, so that the handling is more optimal," he said.
