Head Of Information Center at Ministry Of Home Affairs: There Is Firm Action For ASN Participation In Demonstration On The Plh Of Governor Of Papua

JAKARTA - Head of the Information Center at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Benni Irwan, said that state civil servants (ASN) who took part in the demonstration held on Monday, June 28 in Jayapura, would be dealt with strictly according to applicable regulations.

"For ASN, if you take part in the demonstration, there are already rules, so it is hoped that the staffing officer will convey this, if the rules are violated, they will be subject to sanctions," said Head of the Penuspen Kemendagri Benni Irwan in Jayapura, reported by Antara, Sunday, June 27.

The Head of the Information Center at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Benni Irwan, after holding a closed meeting with Forkopimda and FKUB Papua hoped that on Monday, June 29 there would be no demonstrations in Jayapura because the appointment of the Regional Secretary as the daily executor (plh) of the governor was in accordance with the procedures and provisions.

The appointment of regional heads is a common thing and also happens in other regions because there are regulations governing the appointment.

The rules are applied equally to all, only the conditions from one area to another are certainly different, said Benni.

He explained that the appointment of the governor's daily executive is to ensure that the administration of government and development runs as well as possible.

Moreover, in 2021 Papua Province will receive a physical special allocation fund (DAK) of around Rp422 billion which is allocated for seven development areas.

So the government, in this case, is pushing for acceleration to fulfill the documents required for the distribution of physical DAK, explained Benni Irwan.

The Head of the Information Center at the Ministry of Home Affairs also conveyed an invitation from the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian to jointly pray for the governor for a speedy recovery, a speedy recovery, and a speedy recovery with the people of the Papua Province who hosted the XX PON.

"Various regions in Indonesia are currently preparing their athletes to take part in the PON, so we all have to participate in making it a success," he hoped.

Earlier on Friday, June 25, a group of residents demonstrated at the Papua Governor's Office and briefly blocked the Papua Regional Secretary's office at the Jayapura Dock II Governor's Office.
