Knock! UMMI Hospital Case, Rizieq Shihab Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison
JAKARTA - The defendant Rizieq Shihab was sentenced to four years in prison for the case of the swab results of the UMMI Hospital. Rizieq Shihab was found guilty of spreading false news.
"The court sentenced the defendant Rizireq Shihab to 4 years in prison," said presiding judge Khadwanto during a trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday, June 24.
In this decision, the panel of judges considered aggravating and mitigating factors. For lightening matters, Rizieq is a religious teacher who can improve his attitude.
Meanwhile, for things that incriminate Rizieq, it is considered to have caused trouble among the community.

Thus, the panel of judges assessed that Rizieq was proven to have violated Article 14 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning the Criminal Law Regulations Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code.
"It has been legally and convincingly proven guilty of committing a criminal act as stated in the first primary indictment," said Khadwanto.
For information, the Public Prosecutor (JPU) previously ordered Rizieq Shihab to be in prison for six years. Because, Rizieq is considered to be spreading false news about his health condition.
