COVID-19 Update As Of June 22: 13.668 New Cases, 335 Death Toll

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 130.630 specimens were examined with the result that there were 13.668 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 2.018.113 people and 152.686 active cases", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, June 22.

Today's recovered cases increased by 8.375 cases, bringing the total to 1.810.136 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 335 people and a total of 55.291 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 3.432 cases and a total of 350.719 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 3.221 new cases with a total of 482.264 cases. Central Java has 2.439 new cases and a total of 232.839 cases. Then, East Java has 746 new cases and a total of 165.013 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 3.082 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 1.670 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 994 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 383 recovered cases.

There is one province that reported no new cases today, namely Gorontalo. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 18.864.666.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 27.57 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 124.918 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.

Currently, 23.789.884 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 12.514.917 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.049 people.
