10 Million Bulk Sinovac Vaccine Landed In The Homeland
JAKARTA - Indonesia has returned millions of doses of vaccines from abroad. This time, 10 million bulk Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines arrived in the country via Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten, Sunday, June 20. This bulk vaccine is transported using Garuda Indonesia GA-891 aircraft.
The arrival of the bulk vaccine is the 17th stage. Previously, in the 16th stage, Indonesia received an additional one million Sinopharm vaccines on Friday, June 11.
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Oscar Primadi, said that a total of 91 million doses had arrived in the country to be produced into vaccines by PT Bio Farma.
"Thank God, today we have another 10 million bulk vaccines. This means that 91 million doses have arrived at our place in the country to be produced into COVID-19 vaccines", he said in a virtual press conference, Sunday, June 20.
Furthermore, Oskar emphasized that the government was always present to secure around 426.8 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine for all Indonesian people. According to him, to ensure the availability of vaccines, every effort is made by the government, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
"Alhamdulillah, of course, with this arrival, we will continue to make efforts to distribute and then carry out this vaccination program going well and we guarantee it", he said.

In addition, Oscar also said that the vaccines provided by the government are vaccines that have been tested in terms of fulfilling aspects of safety, efficacy, and quality.
"This is marked by the issuance of the EUA or distribution permit of the vaccine product. So far, we have made efforts to strengthen and accelerate this vaccination effort," he explained.
Oscar also appealed to the public to continue to comply with health protocols. "Keep avoiding crowds, keep your distance, and keep wearing masks. Hopefully, we are in the protection of God Almighty, and we can always control the pandemic", he said.
As is known, based on data from the Committee for Handling COVID-19 and National Economic Recovery as of Friday, June 11, Indonesia has secured 94,728,400 doses of COVID-19 vaccine.
As for the details, the Sinovac vaccine is 84,500,000 doses consisting of 3 million ready-made vaccines and 81.5 million bulk or raw materials, AstraZeneca through the Covax Facility scheme with 8,228,400 doses and Sinopharm two million doses.
