Arrest Fisherman, North Sumatra Police Reveal Circulation Of 60 Kg Of Methamphetamine And 2 Thousand Ecstasy Pills
MEDAN - Labuhan Batu Police managed to uncover the circulation of methamphetamine-type drugs weighing 60 kg along with 2 thousand ecstasy pills.
In the disclosure, the police arrested the perpetrator NA (29) who worked as a fisherman. He was arrested by the Torgamba Sector Police while passing through Jalinsum.
He was arrested in front of the Beruhur Police Station of the Labuhanbatu District Police on his way to Riau by driving a BK 1912 VS plated car.
North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General, RZ Panca Putra, in his presentation said officers immediately secured evidence in the form of 1 green backpack, 1 brown suitcase, and one black suitcase.
"From the total number of officers found 60 large plastic packs containing methamphetamine weighing up to 60 kg, as well as 2 boxes containing 2,000 ecstasy pills", said Panca at the Labuhanbatu Police, Friday, June 18.
Inspector General Panca said that after conducting the interrogation, suspect NA admitted that he was ordered by suspect I, who is still being chased by the police.
The police then carried out developments on the initial source of the suspect NA getting the goods.
"Officers then gave chase to the house of suspect I, witnessed by his wife, N and found 3 pieces of Pyrex glass, 1 plastic clip containing methamphetamine, 3 BRI savings books belonging to N, H, and P, and 2 ATMs", he said.

However, suspect I was not at his home and is currently being pursued by the police. Furthermore, the police received information that the item was obtained from suspect BL who was in Tanjung Balai Village. Officers immediately moved to the location.
"Officers witnessed by the head of the local environment did not find any evidence and even the owner was not at his house", he said.
According to the confession of suspect NA, he has been involved in narcotics trafficking three times.
"Before Lebaran in 2021, we managed to get 10 kg of methamphetamine into Medan and after Lebaran 2021 coordinated the delivery of meth twice as much as 50 kg and 58 kg to Dumai and all on orders from suspect I", said Inspector General Panca.
The perpetrators were charged with Article 114 Paragraph (2) subsidiary to Article 112 Paragraph (2) Indonesia Law Nomor 35/2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of death penalty or maximum life imprisonment.
