Good News From Sorong, 3,164 People Have Recovered From A Total Of 3,275 COVID-19 Positive Patients

JAKARTA - The Sorong City COVID-19 Task Force, West Papua Province, said there were an additional 10 new positive COVID-19 patients, bringing the total to 3,275 cases.

"From the results of laboratory examinations on 10 specimens, it shows that 10 of them have been confirmed positive for COVID-19," said Spokesperson for the Sorong City COVID-19 Task Force, Ruddy Rudolf Lakku in Sorong, as reported by Antara, Thursday, June 17.

In addition to the new positive patients, according to him, this week there were 7 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients who were declared cured, bringing the total recovered patients to 3,164.

According to him, so far there have been 63 local residents who have died from COVID-19 in the city of Sorong.

It is hoped that the public will continue to adhere to health protocols. Eliminate the view that the Corona virus no longer exists because the results of laboratory examinations are still positive for COVID-19, indicating the virus is still there.

He said that although the vaccination program had been carried out, residents still had to be disciplined in carrying out health protocols to avoid the transmission of the disease.
