PKS Urges Bobby Nasution To Close Night Entertainment Places In Medan That Become A Hotbed For Drugs
MEDAN - The DPRD of Medan City, North Sumatra has urged the Medan City Government, led by Bobby Nasution, to review various nightclubs that have become hotbeds for drug trafficking.
"We urge the Medan City Government to investigate further, if there is indeed a nightclub as a drug den," said Chairman of Commission I of the Medan City DPRD, Rudiyanto Simangunsong, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, June 16.
If the drug den's nightclub cannot be fostered, the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) politician asked the Medan City Government through the Tourism Office to act decisively by closing it and not giving operational permits.
Rudiyanto, who is also the chairman of the PKS faction of the Medan City DPRD, appreciated the Medan Police for revealing drug trafficking for visitors to karaoke or KTV nightclubs on Haji Adam Malik street, Medan, Sunday, June 13.

In the raid, the police detained 51 KTV visitors who were found using drugs from the results of a urine examination, confiscated evidence of 285 ecstasy pills, and money for selling ecstasy of more than Rp17 million.
"We express our deepest gratitude to the Medan Police Chief who is so enthusiastic about securing the city of Medan from the circulation of evil drugs," he said.
"We remember during the visit of Commission I, that Mr. Police Chief conveyed his commitment to eradicating drugs. He stated that Medan City is a large-scale drug trafficking site in Indonesia," continued Rudiyanto.
