Hundreds Of Cyclists Exploring Tourist Areas In Bali, Help Boost Bali's Economy

JAKARTA - Coordinator of the Bali Bike Exploration community, Jannes Eudes Wawa, said as many as 165 cyclists will explore Nusantara tourism, especially in the Bali area, to help the Balinese economy.

"All countries in Bali depend on tourism visits, while North and South Bali activities are the same as tourism, the key is waiting for the presence of foreign tourists to enter Bali. We think that we invite cyclists to Bali, and vent the spirit of cycling in Bali", said Jannes Eudes Wawa in a press conference in Denpasar, Bali, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, June 16.

He said that exploring Bali tourism was carried out for two days, namely on Saturday 19 June and Sunday 20 June. The first day, you will pass Legian, Tanah Lot, Tabahan, Batukau Temple, Jatiluwih, Angseri Hot Springs, and Bedugul. With a total distance of about 93 kilometers.

"On this route, there are many interesting panoramas. Besides Tanah Lot which is already very popular, we also passed Jatiluwih. This area is a rice field area that still maintains the tradition of the Balinese irrigation system, namely Subak," he said.

On the second day with the route Bedugul, Ubud, Tampak Siring, and Ketewel with a distance of about 103 kilometers. This trip passes through Baturitih, Sulangai, Sangeh, Ubud, Ceking, Tampak Siring, Elephant Cave, Sukawati Market, Ketewel, finish at Bentara Budaya Bali (Ketewel).

These cyclists come from various cities in Indonesia, including Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, Depok, Bekasi, Bandung, Palembang, Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Semarang, Makassar, Gorontalo, Manokwari, Nabire and Jayapura. These cyclists are from the age range of 15-70 years.

In addition, the Bali Bike Tour community also estimates that each participant will spend around IDR 6.5 million to IDR 8.5 million. The circulation of money in Bali through this event sponsored by Bank BRI reached approximately IDR 1.2 billion.

This activity also received permission from the Bali Province COVID-19 Task Force, then the Bali Police in terms of security, and also provided special medical vehicles on every trip.

"This is a way to lure other parties to carry out various other similar activities in Bali. The more interesting events, the more people come. So the presence of good tourists can revive Bali's economy. The circulation of money is increasing. Recovery can also be realized", he said.
