5 Days This Grandfather Gets Lost In The Merauke Forest, Rescued By The TNI Task Force

MERAUKE - TNI personnel from the Indonesian Pamtas Task Force-PNG Infantry Battalion 611/Awang Long, found grandfather Kiman (65), a resident of Baidub Village, Ulin District, Merauke Regency, who had been lost in the forest for five days. This grandfather got lost while looking for fish in Kalimaro Kali Ogok.

Commander of the Pamtas Task Force Battalion 611/Awang Long, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Albert Frantesca M.Han, said Kiman was in good health. This grandfather claimed not to remember anything after getting lost in the forest.

The disappearance of Grandpa Kiman was reported by Geri and Markus, residents of Baidub Village to their families until they were heard by members of the Indonesia-Papua New Guinea Border Security Task Force Battalion 611/Awang Long from Pos Bupul 12.

According to the Task Force Commander, the search process was carried out directly by three members of Pos Bupul 12 under the leadership of Kopda Hamid and focused on the forest where the victim was looking for fish.

"Kim's condition does not remember anything before being found by members of Pos Bupul 12 in the middle of the forest. While in the forest, Kiman gets pure food and drink from natural products", said the Commander.

Grandpa Kiman, according to Task Force Commander Lt. Col. Albert, is currently at the Bupul 12 Post for a health check and will then be sent home to his family.

"Grandpa Kiman is currently in good health", said Commander Battalion 611/Awang Long.
