COVID-19 Update As Of June 15: 8.161 New Cases, 6.407 Recovered Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 108.800 specimens were examined with the result that there were 8.161 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.927.708 people and active cases are 116.787 cases", according to data from the Ministry of Health, Tuesday, June 15.

Today's recovered cases increased by 6.407 cases, bringing the total to 1.757.641 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 164 people and the total was 52.280 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 1.793 cases and a total of 332.265 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 1.658 new cases with a total of 218.742 cases. DKI Jakarta has 1.502 new cases and a total of 452.295 cases. Then, East Java has 499 new cases and a total of 159.961 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1.327 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an additional 1.287 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 890 recovered cases, and Riau with an additional 520 recovered cases.

No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 18.082.299.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 20.22 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 108.632 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, 20.904.723 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 11.699.021 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.049 people.
