News From Hutama Karya: Trans Sumatran Toll Fee For Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road Will Increase As Of June 23, 2021

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya for the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar section will adjust the new fare for the Trans Sumatra Toll Road starting June 23, 2021.

"This fare adjustment will be carried out on June 23, 2021, and all of this has started to be socialized to road users", said the Branch Manager of PT. Hutama Karya's Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar section, Hanung Hanindito, in Bandarlampung, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, June 15.

According to him, according to Government Regulation No. 15 of 2005 concerning Toll Roads, evaluation and adjustment of toll rates are carried out every two years based on the old fare adjusted to the inflation effect. He explained that this toll rate adjustment will follow the inflationary effect of each region, especially Lampung Province.

This rate adjustment, he continued, aims to return investment funds, develop toll roads, repair, and create a good economy.

Hanung said the decision of the Minister of Public Works and People's Housing (Ministry of PUPR) number 732/KPTS/M/2021 concerning the Adjustment of Toll rates on the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar Toll Road was issued on June 9, 2021.

"Since June 9, 2021, this new tariff adjustment letter has been issued. It will be active and It will take effect 14 days after the date of stipulation, which is June 23, 2021", he said.

He said that the socialization of this rate adjustment had been carried out since the date of stipulation, through social media, leaflets, flyers, brochures, banners, and others. All socialization has been carried out, to avoid mistakes by the company.

"We have intensively carried out socialization to road users, both at toll gates, highways, rest areas, pedestrian bridges, and others. All so that travelers can know that this month there is an adjustment to toll rates", he said.

That's why Hanung said that with the adjustment of this toll rate, some points that often become complaints from motorists are being repaired so that the service provided by the company to users can be more excellent.

"There are some road repairs, this is a form of concern and our main task is to be able to make road users more comfortable when crossing on toll roads", he explained.
