COVID-19 Update As Of June 10: 8.892 New Cases, DKI Jakarta Is The Highest

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 110.623 specimens were examined with the result that there were 8.892 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.885.942 people and active cases are 104.655 cases", said Ministry of Health data, Thursday, June 10.

Today's recovered cases increased by 5.661 cases, bringing the total to 1.728.914 people recovered. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 211 people and a total of 52.373 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 2.091 cases and a total of 440.554 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 1.531 new cases with a total of 211.164 cases. West Java has 1.334 new cases and a total of 325.520 cases. Then, DI Yogyakarta has 455 new cases and a total of 47.432 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 1.260 recovered cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 1.105 recovered cases, Central Java with an additional 591 recovered cases, and Riau with an additional 471 recovered cases.

No province has reported zero cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 17.619.996.

"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 16.20 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 102.824 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.

To date, 19.211.433 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 11.488.917 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.049 people.
