Operating To Villages, Police Arrest 4 Perpetrators And Confiscate 15 Thousand Illegal Drugs In Sukabumi
JAKARTA - The Narcotics Unit of the Sukabumi Police has succeeded in uncovering a case of illegal drug trafficking (list G) in the southern region of Sukabumi Regency, West Java. Four people and 15 thousand pills were also taken into custody by officers.
Sukabumi Police Narcotics Head Commissioner Adjutant Kusmawan said, judging from the evidence, it was estimated that there were other actors involved.
"If you look at the amount of evidence, it is possible that the suspects not only circulated it themselves but could also be suppliers to a network of illegal drug dealers," said Kusmawan as quoted by Antara, Thursday, June 10.
Disclosure of cases begins with information received by officers. The suspect was arrested in Cibeureum Village RT 02/07, Rambay Village, Tegalbuleud District on Tuesday, June 8.
At the location of the arrest, the personnel managed to find evidence of 7,838 Tramadol and 7,386 Hexymer.

In addition to drugs, the police also confiscated Rp3 million in cash which was suspected to be the result of selling hard drugs, as well as a motorcycle.
"We are still investigating this case of illicit drug trafficking and the main suspects are three people, while another suspect is still being investigated because he claimed to be a motorcycle taxi driver and was only ordered to take one of the main suspects," he added.
Kusmawan said that the illicit trafficking and abuse of illegal hard drugs has now entered various areas in Sukabumi Regency, even to villages that are far from the city center.
Therefore, in addition to disclosing cases and arresting the dealers, his party also routinely conducts outreach to the public, from students to other general residents, so that they can jointly do prevention.
Three of the four suspected drug dealers were charged with Article 197 in conjunction with Article 106 paragraph (1) Subsidiary to Article 196 in conjunction with Article 98 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 36 of 2009 concerning Health with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison. Meanwhile, another suspect is still being asked whether or not he is involved in this case.
