COVID-19 Update As Of June 9: New Cases 7,725, Accumulated 1,877,050 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 107,825 specimens were examined with the result that there were 7,725 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1,877,050 people and active cases of 101,635", as quoted from Ministry of Health data, Wednesday, June 9.
Today's recovered cases increased by 5,883 cases, bringing the total to 1,723,253 recovered people. Then, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 170 people and a total of 52,162 people.
The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 1,562 cases and a total of 324,186 cases. Followed by Central Java which has 1,457 new cases with a total of 209,629 cases. DKI Jakarta has 1,376 new cases and a total of 438,463 cases. Then, the Riau Islands had 407 new cases and a total of 19,243 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 1,112 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an additional 940 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 850 recovered cases, and Riau with an additional 646 recovered cases.
No province has reported any new cases as of today. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 17,509,373.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 16.20 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 97,967 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, 18,718,769 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 11,436,259 the second dose of vaccination. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40,349,049 people.
