JAKARTA - Circulating a letter from the Saudi Arabian Embassy to the Indonesian House of Representatives. The letter, which was written very quickly, was signed by the Ambassador of the Servant of the Two Holy Cities to the Republic of Indonesia, Essam Bin Ahmed Abid Althaqafi, dated June 3, 2021.
Responding to the letter, Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives from the Golkar Party faction, Ace Hasan Syadzily, assessed that Saudi Arabia had misunderstood his statement.
"I misunderstood my statement", said Ace when asked for confirmation regarding the letter from the Saudi Arabian Ambassador.

Herewith I would like to inform Your Excellency that referring to the circulating news that has been conveyed by several mass media and social media in the Republic of Indonesia, which quoted Dr.Ir Sufmi Dasco Ahmad's statement, Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives who stated that he had received information that Indonesia did not receive a quota. Hajj this year, also the statement of DR.TB Ace Hasan Syadzily Deputy Chairman of Commission VIII of the Indonesian House of Representatives who stated that there were (11) countries that had obtained hajj quotas from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia this year and Indonesia was not included from these countries.
In this regard, I would like to inform Your Excellency that these reports are not true and they were not issued by the official authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to that the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have not yet issued any instructions regarding the implementation of Hajj. this year, both for Indonesian pilgrims or other pilgrims from all countries in the world.
In this regard, it is an opportunity for me to explain to Your Excellency and esteemed members of the council the facts, while I hope to be able to communicate in advance with the Embassy or other official authorities, both in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia or in Indonesia, to obtain information from the right sources that can be trusted.
