JAKARTA - PT Bank Central Asia Tbk or BCA cooperates with UnionPay in launching the BCA UnionPay credit card. This credit card is claimed to be suitable for dynamic millennials, who like outdoor activities. One of them is like traveling.
Director of BCA Santoso said that amid the limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Indonesia's young generation still has one spirit and continues to encourage the economy. Therefore, Santoso said he was optimistic about the launch of this credit card.
"Maybe this situation is a slow down situation, but we believe there are still some young people who can encourage our economy and become trendsetters, being driven for transactions in the Indonesian ecosystem", he said in a video conference, Thursday, June 3.
Not only that, but Santoso also believes that the COVID-19 pandemic will end soon and the situation will return to normal along with tightening health protocols and the running of the national vaccination program.
"Why are we currently issuing (BCA UnionPay credit cards)? Because we believe the pandemic will pass with efforts to maintain distance and maintain health as well as government efforts through vaccines, treatment, and ecosystem improvement. We believe soon we will go through the pandemic", he said.
Santoso said the market that the BCA UnionPay credit card wants to target is the younger generation who continue to maintain their existence and lifestyle even in the midst of a pandemic. For example, by traveling, cycling, hiking, or shopping.

He said this facility is beneficial for customers in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic because it is to maintains the health of users when making transactions.
