If There Is No 2021 Hajj Organization, The Ministry Of Religion Is Asked To Relocate The Budget

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Religion is asked to reallocate the budget for the 2021 Hajj implementation to priority activities and needs. This is if it is decided not to depart the 2021 Hajj.

"The budget allocation for the Hajj pilgrimage from the APBN is quite large. Apart from personnel expenditure and routine needs, there are Rp250 billion of which can be used for the implementation of activities and urgent needs," said Chairman of the PAN faction of the DPR RI Saleh Partaonan Daulay, Thursday, June 3.

The former chairman of Commission VIII of the DPR said that there were quite a lot of activities and urgent needs in the ministry of religion.

"Payment of lecturer certificate allowances, support for honorary madrasah teachers, repair of the KUA office, assistance for madrasah rehabilitation, assistance for the construction of STAIN, IAIN, UIN, and other community activities," he said.

Saleh assessed that the Ministry of Religion has always been late in responding to the aspirations of the community and its stakeholders. It is evident, he said, that many aspirations have been voiced, but have not been fully responded to and answered.

"In fact, the aspiration I received was that there were lecturers whose certification allowances had not been paid for the past 6 months," said the legislator for the North Sumatra electoral district.

Although the number of lecturers who complain to him is small, Saleh believes that the real number is very large.

"These are things that need to be considered. That way, the budget allocation for organizing the pilgrimage that has been determined can be relocated and used properly and responsibly. The budget should not be relocated to activities that are not a priority and less useful," said Saleh.
