Sad News Comes From Brazil: 2.409 Died Of COVID-19 Yesterday, 465.199 People In Total

JAKARTA - The Brazilian government on Tuesday, June 1 reported the addition of 2.408 COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 465.199 deaths.

As reported by Antara, Wednesday, June 2, Brazil's Ministry of Health recorded 78.926 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total number of those infected to 16.624.480.

Brazil is the second country in the world to report the highest number of COVID-19 deaths after the United States, and the third country with the most cases, following the United States and India.

The South American country is facing a new wave of infections as many COVID-19 patients are being hospitalized.

Brazil has injected more than 67.8 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and more than 22.1 million people have received the second dose of the vaccine, according to the relevant ministry.
