Member Of DPRD Solo PDIP Faction Overheats On The Airplane And Removes Masks, Lion Air: AC Is Always Turned On

JAKARTA - Lion Air ensures that the air conditioning system on the JT-924 flight route Solo - Bali via Adi Soemarmo International Airport in Boyolali is not a problem. This statement was in response to complaints from a member of the Solo City DPRD from the PDIP faction (FPDIP), Siti Muslikah, who felt too hot on the plane.

Corporate Communications Strategic of Lion Air Danang M. Prihantoro said flights using the Boeing 737-900ER PK-LHR registration, with a total of 135 passengers, had been carried out according to standard operating procedures (SOP).

"Regarding complaints from passengers regarding the air conditioning system, Lion Air needs to convey that prior to flight departure the aircraft has undergone a thorough inspection. The aircraft is declared airworthy and operational (airworthy for flight)," said Danang in a press release, as quoted by Antara. Friday, May 28th.

He explained, the air conditioning system is always turned on (active and working) on all flights. This is to ensure the air cycle works while on the ground and maximally when in the air.

Danang further said that the scheduled departure from Adi Soemarmo International Airport was at 08.10 western Indonesia time and arrived at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 10:25 central Indonesia time.

"Lion Air is always obedient in carrying out flight operations and services based on the prevailing rules or regulations while still paying attention to the factors that meet the safety and security aspects as well as the health protocol guidelines," explained Danang.

Danang apologizes to all passengers if at the time the flight feels interrupted by the journey due to the inconvenience that has arisen.

Quoted from Bisnis.com, a member of the Solo City DPRD from the PDIP Faction (FPDIP), Siti Muslikah, scolded two Lion Air flight attendants on Thursday, May 27 morning. The incident began when Siti and a group of the Solo DPRD Special Committee (Pansus) on the Revocation of Regional Regulation departed for Bali at around 08.00 western Indonesia time.

The group boarded the plane 30 minutes before departure. For 30 minutes waiting on the plane, they were made angry because the air conditioner did not turn on.

According to Siti, before the plane takes off, passengers are told that the air conditioner will be turned on shortly after takeoff. Sure enough, shortly after flying, the air conditioner was turned on.

"After take-off, it does turn on, but it is very low as if a car running out of freon. All the passengers use fans," he said.

Finally, the Solo City DPRD member summoned the Lion Air flight attendants and asked for an explanation of the conditions that had occurred. According to the flight attendants, this condition occurred because there was an unfinished repair.

Not forgetting the flight attendant to give an explanation while apologizing. When asked by Siti why the air conditioner was turned off but the plane continued to fly, the stewardess admitted that she didn't know.

"The air conditioner is turned off, how come it can fly, I said so. Sorry, ma'am, we don't know, replied the stewardess," she said.

Siti said that the condition on the plane, where the air conditioner was turned off, was very hot. With this condition, she and the other passengers finally had to remove their masks.

"We put our masks off. Heat like that I can't breathe," she said.
