Update On COVID-19 As Of 27 May: 6.278 New Cases, Active Cases Increase To 98.405
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. A total of 80.949 specimens were examined with the result that there was an addition of 6.278 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 1.797.499 people and today's active cases have increased by 2.218 to 98.405 cases", said the Ministry of Health, Thursday, May 27.
Today's recovered cases increased by 3.924 cases so that a total of 1.649.187 people recovered. Then, the confirmed positive cases who died increased by 136 people and the total was 49.907 people.
The province with the newest cases is in West Java with 1.370 cases and a total of 309.861 cases. Followed by DKI Jakarta which has 940 new cases with a total of 426.769 cases. Riau has 810 new cases and a total of 57.716 cases. Then, Central Java has 694 new cases and a total of 196.480 cases.
The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to West Java with an increase of 1.057 cases recovered. Followed by DKI Jakarta with an additional 586 recovered cases, Riau with an additional 248 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 240 recovered cases.

There are three provinces that reported no new cases today. The provinces that reported zero new cases were West Sulawesi, North Maluku, and Papua.
In addition, the number of specimens that had been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigen reached 16.372.837.
"Positive results per number of specimens examined or this week's positivity rate of 14.81 percent", he wrote.
For the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 97.733 people. Currently, 510 districts/cities from 34 provinces have COVID-19 cases.
Currently, there are 15.703.583 people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 10.359.996 vaccines in the second dose. Meanwhile, the total target of vaccination stages 1 and 2 reached 40.349.049 people.
