Police Guard In Kalibata TMP Area In The Aftermath Of Debt Collector Clashes

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Nicolas Ary Lilipaly said that the National Police and the TNI were guarding the Kalibata Heroes Cemetery (TMP) area to ensure the safety of residents after the clashes between debt collectors and unknown groups, Thursday night, December 11.

With this safeguard, Nicolas hopes that people can return to their normal activities.

"The National Police and the TNI have collaborated to maintain security around the crime scene (TKP). We hope that residents can carry out activities as usual," he said in his statement, Friday, December 12, 2025.

He said that his party had placed Brimob and Samapta members to guard the area around the location until the situation was considered really conducive.

"We have implemented (placed) members to look after," he said.

Nicolas also ensured that neither the house nor the residents were victims of the vandalism and arson incident.

"Currently there are no residents or houses that are victims," he said.

However, he has not been able to confirm the number of vehicles and stalls damaged or burned as a result of the incident.
