Become A KPK Suspect, Regent Ardito Wijaya Even Goda Journalist: You Are Beautiful Today

Central Lampung Regent Ardito Wijaya had teased female journalists after being named a suspect in alleged bribery by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

This moment occurred when he would be escorted to a detention car that would take him along with four other suspects to the KPK Detention Center (Rutan). Ardito at that time received questions about the determination of the suspect's status against him.

Instead of answering or apologizing as usual for the newly appointed detainees, Ardito was silent and had time to see a female journalist in front of him. He then had a chance to smile and tease him.

"You were beautiful today," he said shortly before entering the detention car at the KPK's Red and White building, South Jakarta.

Ardito then slowly got into the KPK detention car. He still smiled after throwing the statement even though his hand had been handcuffed and had an orange dream.

Ardito became a suspect with Riki Hendra Saputra as a member of the Central Lampung DPRD; Ranu Hari Prasetyo as Ardito's younger brother; Anton Wibowo as the acting head (Plt) of the Central Lampung Regional Revenue Agency as well as a close relative of Ardito; and Mohamad Lukman Sjamsuri as a private party or Director of PT Elkaka Mandiri.

He is suspected of accepting bribes of up to Rp5.75 billion related to the procurement of goods and services in the Central Lampung Regency Government and allegedly receiving gratuities.

As a result of his actions, Ardito, Anton, Riki, and Ranu as recipients were suspected of violating the provisions of Article 12 letter a or Article 12 letter b or Article 11 or Article 12 B of Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Lukman as the giver is suspected of violating the provisions of Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter a or Article 5 Paragraph (1) letter b or Article 13 of Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law no. 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law No. 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption Jo.
