The Era Of Quantum Safe Has Started, IBM: Organizations Must Be Prepared Now
JAKARTA - Entering the next stage of technological developments, IBM states that the era of quantum computing is no longer just a discourse, but a strategic journey that must begin to be prepared from now on.
General Manager and Technology Leader for IBM ASEAN, Catherine Lian, said IBM had anticipated this major change by ensuring that all their products and solutions had quantum-ready and quantum-safe capabilities.
"Now, organizations that are ready to face quantum technology will adopt it three times more. Therefore, we ensure that quantum safe features are embedded in each product," he said at the IBM 2025 Year End Media Briefing event on Thursday, December 11.
This step not only answers today's technological needs, but also provides a basis for customers to invest safely in the long term.
Catherine also emphasized that the current readiness of quantum safety is the most important feature in all IBM portfolios. Therefore, IBM wants to be the party that prepares clients from an early age so that their infrastructure is resistant to post-quantum computing threats.

"Because the readiness of a quantum safe is the most important feature at all portfolios. Why do we say that, because when you build a technological solution, you need to build a platform infrastructure and organization to be ready for the future," he said.
Catherine also mapped three groups of users who are expected to move faster in adopting quantum computing, including the government, research (research) that focuses on universities, and academics.
"These three industries will be the first to invest in the next level of quantum computing," he concluded.
