WIKA Pockets People's School Project In West Kalimantan Worth IDR 728.44 Billion
JAKARTA - The state-owned construction issuer, PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA) received a contract value of IDR 728.44 billion from the government for the People's School (SR) development project in West Kalimantan Province (Kalbar).
The project is part of the government's strategic efforts to expand access to quality education while strengthening the direction of national development as stated in Astacita, especially the development agenda of superior human resources and regional equity.
The SR project in West Kalimantan will be built in Pontianak City, Singkawang City and West Kalimantan Provincial Government SR in Singkawang.
WIKA President Director Agung Budi Waskito said the construction of the West Kalimantan People's School was a real step for WIKA to support the national agenda to improve the quality of the nation's next generation.
Agung BW ensured that every People's School development met the best quality standards, quality, and timely.
"So, the benefits can be felt directly by students, educators and the local community," said Agung BW in an official statement, Wednesday, December 10.
Meanwhile, the scope of work includes school construction from elementary school (SD) to high school (SMA), student and teacher dormitories, canteens, sports facilities, houses of worship and multipurpose buildings.
"WIKA is working on development through an operating cooperation scheme (KSO) with a period of 240 calendar days and a maintenance period of 180 calendar days," he said.

According to Agung BW, the presence of SR in Pontianak and Singkawang has a significant social impact, not only in providing access to quality education, but also improving the quality of life of the surrounding community.
These benefits include opening up local jobs, increasing economic activity and providing safe, modern and inclusive learning rooms.
"This is in line with several Astacita pillars, including improving the quality of human resources, strengthening the nation's culture and character through education and equitable development throughout Indonesia," he said.
