Kemayoran Police Chief Rushed To Islamic Hospital Due To Glass Fall During A Fire On Terra Drone Indonesia

JAKARTA - In addition to killing 22 employees, the fire at Terra Drone Indonesia, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, also injured Kemayoran Police Commissioner Agung Adriansyah. The police officer was injured as a result of being hit by a glass that fell from above during the evacuation process.

"The Kemayoran police chief had his hands torn from the glass that fell from above during the evacuation process," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Deputy Chief, AKBP Budi Prasetya at the scene, Tuesday, December 9.

AKBP Budi said the incident began when firefighters were breaking the glass on the building. The glass is large enough to fall down.

"Currently the police chief is undergoing surgery at the Islamic Hospital," he said.

At the time of the incident, the police chief also tried to protect other members spontaneously. But unfortunately, the broken glass hit the hand of the Kemayoran Police Chief.

"The hand that hit me but I don't really know which hand hit the glass," he said.

Meanwhile, from a temporary assumption, the deadly fire incident on the Terra Drone Indonesia began with a drone battery exploding on the 1st floor.

The battery explosion occurred during office break. So that the fire quickly spreads to the top floor and grows.

Several employees who were on the top floor had run to save themselves, but some were trapped in the fire and died at the scene.
