Mask Corruption Case IDR 2.5 Billion, BPKAD Office Ransacked by the Karangasem District Attorney
KARANGASEM - The State Prosecutor's Investigation Team, Karangasem, Bali, searched the office of the Regional Finance and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Karangasem Regency. The search related to the case of alleged corruption of the procurement of masks worth Rp 2.9 billion in 2020 at the Karangasem Social Service.
The investigating team searched files related to the procurement of masks for other documents. The search was conducted for approximately 4 hours at the BPKAD Karangasem office, Tuesday, May 25.
Head of the Intelligence Section of the Karangasem District Attorney, I Dewa Gede Semara Putra, explained this search is an effort by the investigating team to find preliminary evidence from documents related to the procurement of masks.
"For the search at BPKAD Karangasem office today the investigating team is looking for preliminary evidence from documents related to the procurement of masks in 2020 in Karangasem district social services", said Semara Putra.

During the search, the investigating team obtained dozens of documents relating to the procurement of masks. Currently, the investigating team is still sorting and is still studying the documents.
"From the search obtained dozens of documents and for now the investigating team is sorting or selecting from the documents which form the document can be used as evidence in the disclosure of cases of alleged corruption of the procurement of masks in Karangasem district in 2020", he added.
The case of alleged mask corruption handled by the Karangasem District Attorney has been upgraded from investigation to investigation.
"BPKAD searched because it is the center or center of documents on the financial process including budgeting from the beginning against the agenda of activities in the procurement of masks", said Semara Putra.
