Bank Mandiri Optimistic That MSME Financing In West Java Will Grow 10 Percent Next Year

BANDUNG - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) targets the growth of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) financing of 10 percent on an annual basis (year on year/yoy) for the Region VI/West Java region in 2026.

Regional CEO of Bank Mandiri Region VI/West Java, Nila Mayta Dwi Rihandjani said that this target can be achieved through networks formed from various ecosystems.

"There must be a list that has been from the existing ecosystems, from there we know there must be a lot of potential. The distributors are still very big, which we can relax as a way to provide financing in the MSME sector," he said in Bank Mandiri Media Gathering 2025, Monday, December 8.

Nila added that sectors such as food, beverage, and stall distributors have great potential for access to financing.

According to him, through this ecosystem, Bank Mandiri can identify which stalls or business actors have good performance.

In addition, he emphasized that accelerating the people's economy remains the company's top priority and ensures Bank Mandiri's services are relevant to the needs of the community and support economic activities in West Java.

"This is our commitment in accelerating the growth of the people's economy and providing added value to the community, especially in the West Java region," he said.

Until the end of September 2025, the performance of Region VI West Java showed a positive trend where credit growth was recorded to have increased by 14.7 percent (yoy). In terms of funding, low-cost funds or current accounts and saving accounts (CASA) grew 11.5 percent (yoy), reflecting the increasing public trust in Bank Mandiri.

He added that leading sectors such as the manufacturing, wholesale trade, transportation, and warehousing industries also showed positive developments.

According to him, this also reinforces regional economic strength and supports the growth of MSMEs which are increasingly connected to industrial supply chains.

Nila conveyed that digitalization is an important element in expanding access to financial services.

"The use of Livin' by Mandiri, Livin' Merchant, and the Kopra by Mandiri platform are proven to expand the market, facilitate transactions, and strengthen financial literacy for business actors whose benefits can be enjoyed by all people," he explained.

In addition, the role of Mandiri Agents in the West Java region continues to be strengthened to open access to financial services for rural communities and MSME players.

He added that the digital channel and the presence of Mandiri Agent are proof that the expansion of financial services can run in line with increasing the economic capacity of the community.

Nila explained that the contribution to the people's economy was also realized through various empowerment programs, namely until September 2025, Region VI/West Java had held 37 MSME activities, presented the Independent Export House initiative, and expanded financial literacy and inclusion in various regions.
