Mandors Of Missing Projects Buried By Collapsed Buildings In Kelapa Gading

JAKARTA - A man with the initials SM (56) is still being searched due to being hit by the building of the former Rising Star Institute Housing Bukit Gading Mediterania, Jalan Alesandria, RW 016, Kelapa Gading Barat Village, Kelapa Gading District, North Jakarta, Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Kelapa Gading Police Chief, Kompol Seto Handoko Putra said, based on the testimony of the initials EP witness, the incident began on Thursday afternoon at 11.00 WIB while he was with AIP and M in the basement dismantling cable panels.

Witness EP saw M and the victim going out to the top carrying cables. When M and the victim were under the stairs, suddenly the building on the stairs collapsed.

However, M has managed to get up first. However, the victim who is behind the order of the ruins of the stairs.

Kompol Seto continued, when he saw this, witness EP who was with AIP immediately ran out to the top through the side door to save himself.

"After arriving above, EP informed the operator of the heavy equipment to stop because there was a victim who was hit by a building," said Kompol Seto, Thursday, December 4.

From the results of the crime scene, it is known that the building is a former Rising Star Institute school.

"The location is in the renovation process or leveled to be sold as Kavling," he said.

The construction process carried out by developer Agung Podomoro Land (APL) was given directly to the foreman individually.

It was later discovered that the victim SM was the foreman of the building renovation project. The victim is still being searched by firefighters at the location.

"Currently, we are still in the process of searching for SM victims who are in the basement, using heavy equipment," he said.

Regarding the incident, the Kelapa Gading Police picket led by the Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Kiki Tanlim Kasih was at the scene.

"The location has been installed by a police line. Meanwhile, the witness was questioned at the Kelapa Gading Police," he said.
