Man In Cengkareng Arrested, Police Confiscate 4.6 Kg Of Cannabis Ready For Circulation
The Directorate of Drug Investigation (Ditresnarkoba) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested a man with the initials M (51) on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking with evidence of marijuana weighing 4.672 kilograms.
Head of Unit 5 Sub-Directorate 3 of the Narcotics Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, AKP Edy Lestari, said that M was secured on Tuesday, December 2, at around 14:17 WIB in the Kapuk area, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.
"We secured suspect M (51) in the Cengkareng area with evidence of 4.6 kilograms of marijuana," said Edy in a written statement.
This case was revealed after the police received information related to drug trafficking activities carried out by a person with the initials M in the area. Following up on the report, officers conducted an investigation and immediately carried out an ambush on the perpetrators.
From the results of the search, the police found a large box containing marijuana weighing a total of 4.672 kilograms, and confiscated a cell phone as additional evidence.

During the initial examination, M admitted that he obtained the marijuana from a supplier with the initials D. Until now, D has been on the wanted list (DPO) and is being hunted by the police.
"Suspect M and evidence have been brought to the Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate for further investigation," said Edy.
Currently, the police are continuing to develop investigations to pursue suppliers and uncover the cannabis trafficking network.
