Investigating Allegations Of Reluctant To Examine Bobby Nasution, Dewas Calls The Prosecutor's Team For The Bribery Of The North Sumatra Road Project

JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned a team of public prosecutors (JPU) who handled the alleged bribery of road projects in North Sumatra Province today, December 3. Clarification will be carried out following up on reports of alleged efforts to obstruct the summons of the Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution.

"It's true, this afternoon we examined the prosecutor, as reported to the council," said Chairman of the KPK Council Gusrizal when confirmed by reporters via text message, Wednesday, December 3.

Gusrizal did not explain further about the ongoing examination process. He only said that the prosecutors would be clarified at 13.00 WIB.

The KPK Supervisory Board previously received a report from the Indonesian Student Activist Coalition (KAMI) on Monday, November 17.

They reported the head of the task force (kasatgas) investigators, namely Rossa Purbo Bekti for hampering the legal process against North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution in the corruption case of a road project that ensnared Typhoon Obaja Putra Ginting or Topan Ginting as the former Head of PUPR Office of North Sumatra Province.

In addition, the prosecutor who served at the trial was also in the spotlight after Chief Justice Khamozaro Waruwu at the private cluster trial asked Bobby Nasution to be presented.

This order emerged after the disclosure of the facts of the trial regarding the shift in budget through the Governor's Regulation (Pergub).

However, the summons was not carried out. According to the KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo Bobby Nasution, it was not planned to be presented because he was still waiting for other facts to be revealed at trial.

"We will pay close attention to the progress because this is only the giver, the recipient has not yet been tried. And the judge also stated that he would see later the statements from other witnesses," Budi told reporters last Monday, November 17.
