Polda Metro Secures 55-Year-Old Man Owner Of Illegal Ammunition Warehouse In West Jakarta
JAKARTA - The Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya arrested a man with the initials OA (55) related to the case of possession of illegal ammunition in the West Jakarta (West Jakarta) area. OA was arrested in a rented house on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at around 21.30 WIB.
Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Bhudi Hermanto explained that the arrest of OA was the result of the development of the Opsnal Team Unit 1 of the General Sub-Directorate/Jatanras from the previous case that ensnared the suspect RS. From the examination, RS claimed to have obtained ammunition from OA.
"Based on this information, the team led by Kanit 1 Sub-Directorate General/Jatanras Kompol Roland Olaf Ferdinand moved quickly to the location and managed to secure OA," said Bhudi, Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
During the search, the police found hundreds of rounds of ammunition of various calibers, ranging from 9 mm, 22 mm, to 45 mm. In addition, 17 firearms, three airsoft magazine, one gun book, and two boxes of pistol parts were also confiscated.

"All the evidence was immediately brought to the Polda Metro Jaya for further investigation," he said.
Bhudi emphasized that the disclosure of this case is proof of the Polda Metro Jaya's commitment to eradicating the circulation of illegal weapons and ammunition.
"We will not provide space for anyone who tries to distribute ammunition or firearms without permission. Enforcement will be carried out decisively and measurably," he stressed.
He also appealed to the public to play an active role by reporting any suspicious activities related to firearms or illegal ammunition.
"Immediately report it via the Police call center 110. This service is free and operates 24 hours," he concluded.
