Oh My God, DKI Distamhut Officer Dies After Being Run Over By A Truck Driver Who Experienced Microsleep

PS, an officer from the DKI Jakarta Park and Forestry Service (Distamhut), died after being run over by a trailer truck with number B 9819 UEJ on Jalan Ketel Raya, near the Carnaval Ancol Gate, Pademangan District, North Jakarta, Friday, November 28, 2025.

Head of Traffic Unit of North Jakarta Metro Police, AKP Edy Wibowo, said the incident began when the trailer truck driver with the initials MAH drove from West to East.

"Precisely near the gate of Carnaval Ancol, the driver had a microsleep (short sleep). The trailer then lost control to the right and hit the sidewalk and pedestrian," said AKP Edy when confirmed.

At the time of the incident, the victim with the initials PS was squatting on the sidewalk. It is suspected that the trailer driver did not see the victim sitting on the sidewalk.

"PS pedestrians, squatting on the sidewalk. As a result of the accident, PS, who was a pedestrian, was finally run over and died on the spot," he said.

Currently, the police are still investigating the accident. Meanwhile, evidence of the trailer truck with number B 9819 UEJ was secured as evidence.

The case is still being handled by the North Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit Laka Unit.
