ADP Wants Open Legal Process, Police: "We Don't Want To Open Disgrace To People Who Have Died"
JAKARTA - Beyond the request of exhumation, the family of the late Arya Daru Pratama (ADP) also highlighted the whereabouts of a woman named Vara Dwikhandini, who is said to have had special interactions with the deceased.
Responding to this, the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Budi Hermanto said that every step of investigation involving certain parties must pay attention to the approval of the nuclear family.
"We will coordinate with the nuclear family. There are privacy aspects that must be maintained, especially since the deceased has died. The question is is the nuclear family ready to accept what investigators have found? " he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, November 28, 2025.
He explained that ADP's wife and parents are currently still sick, so that the delivery of information and requests for clarification must consider family conditions.
"We will also communicate later whether we as investigators at Polda Metro will go there to explain, or from the nuclear family who want to come to Polda Metro," he added.
Furthermore, regarding the pressure to examine the husband of the woman with the initials V, Budi emphasized that the move would still be considered.
"We'll see what the urgency looks like. That's a request from a close friend of the nuclear family and we will evaluate it," he said.
Budi ensured that the investigation continued proportionally and respected family privacy.
"We don't want to expose the disgrace of the deceased. This is what we must protect together," he concluded.
