'3x3' Trend Before 12 PM' Viral Morning Routine Claims That Claim To Increase Energy And Focus
JAKARTA - A recent viral health trend is claimed to help add more steps, water intake, and protein every morning and everything is done in three simple targets.
Through the '3x3 before 12 p.m' challenge, the participants are directed to reach 3,000 steps, a third daily water needs, and 30 grams of protein before 12 p.m. The goal is to give energy boost, improve mood, and increase focus since morning.
This term is popular on TikTok and has been watched tens of millions of times. The trend was first introduced by content fitness creator @fit.abbie (Abbie Overturf) which promises a healthier, healthier, and happy way of life.
"This is a routine I've been living for years, and I've helped hundreds or even thousands of women achieve the goal of decreasing fat with a sustainable approach," said Utah's Overturf, United States, quoted from Fox News' website.
He added that this routine is ideal for women who are busy and want to prioritize health and feel more confident.

Many TikTok users admit this challenge helps them start the day better. There are also those who praise its simplicity because it does not require any equipment.
Three thousand steps are equivalent to about 2.5 km. While 30 grams of protein can be obtained from simple breakfasts such as three eggs plus one glass of protein shake.
The average daily protein requirement is about 46 grams for women and 56 grams for men, and could be higher for those who are actively exercising or building muscles.
For liquid needs, the Mayo Clinic recommends 15.5 glasses (124 ounces) for men and 11.5 glasses (92 ounces) for women per day. This means that reaching 45 glasses before noon can help meet daily targets.
According to holistic nutritionist Robin DeCicy, this trend is interesting because it encourages people to be more aware of going through the day.
"Any routine that makes us more energetic and maintains overall health is a positive thing," he said.
Some studies support this simple approach. Harvard studies published in The Lancet Public Health found that 7,000 steps per day are sufficient for long-term health, nearly equivalent to the 10,000-step old recommendation.
High-protein breakfast has proven to help stabilize blood sugar, reduce weakness in the middle of the morning, support metabolism, and maintain muscle mass, especially in the elderly.
Other studies show adequate water consumption is directly related to increasing concentration, memory, mood, and brain function.
In a 2025 study at the European Journal of Nutrition, elderly people with better hydration showed higher performance in memory tests and speed of thought.
Although useful, experts emphasize that protein, movement, and fluid needs can vary depending on age, health conditions, and their respective goals. The deadline before noon is also actually flexible.
"It doesn't have to be every day. Do as much as you can. If you can drink a third of the water needs in the morning and eat nutritious breakfast, good. But if you only have time to exercise in the afternoon or evening, it doesn't matter either," said DeCicy.
According to him, labeling 'rules' or trends can actually make people feel burdened and think of it as a seasonal diet.
"It's better to focus on simple habits such as moving more, eating real and whole foods, and drinking more water." he said.
Overturf reminded anyone who has just started a fitness routine to consult a doctor, especially if they have certain health conditions.
In the end, this trend emphasizes that small changes in the morning can have a big effect throughout the day, as long as they are carried out consistently and adaptably to their respective needs.
