15 High-Risk Prisoners Moved From Salemba Prison To Nusakambangan
JAKARTA - As many as 15 inmates or high-risk inmates were transferred from the Class IIA Salemba Prison to the Class IIA Special Prison Karanganyar Nusakambangan on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
The transfer was carried out by the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjenpas). The transfer process is carried out with strict security standards.
In addition, Ditjenpas also coordinates across agencies to ensure the placement of WBP according to the level of risk.
15 Prisoners were dispatched from Salemba Prison to Wijayapura Port under the escort of the Directorate of Security and Intelligence Team of the Directorate General of Prisons, Salemba Prison officers, and the Police.
Arriving in Nusakambangan, the administrative and identity examination process was carried out by the Kamtib Task Force before the WBP was forwarded to the Karanganyar Prison.

The Coordinator of the Nusakambangan Region, Irfan, ensured that the entire series of processes was running safely and according to the SOP.

This transfer is an important step in maintaining regional security, especially in the Nusakambangan region, which is the center for placing high-risk prisoners.
