Arya Daru Is Said To Often Enter Hotels In And Out With A Woman

JAKARTA - The case of the death of Arya Daru Parlaungan (39), the Deputy Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu), is entering a new chapter. The family attorney revealed that there was important information regarding the personal activities of the deceased before he died.

The attorney for the family of Arya Daru Parlaungan (ADP) Nicholay Aprilindo, said that his party received information from three witnesses who said ADP often checked in hotels with a woman named Vara Dwikhandini.

This was conveyed by Nicholay after fulfilling the audience invitation at the Polda Metro Jaya on Wednesday, November 24, 2025. The invitation was addressed to the deceased's biological father, Suharyono, and his wife, Vita Meta Ayu, to get an explanation of the progress of the investigation.

"This information was conveyed by three witnesses, that the deceased had checked-in and so on. What is clearly mentioned was done with a woman named Vara," said Nicholay.

According to him, the information received shows that ADP has several times booked hotel rooms with the woman from 2024 to June 2025.

"There are about 24 times, check-in at hotels in the Jakarta area. That's why I ask to deepen it," he said.

Nicholay also asked investigators to explore Vara's statement and another person suspected of being close to the deceased, namely Dion.

"That's why we ask to deepen the examination of Vara. Likewise with Dion, because when he was still alive, he was accompanied by the two people," he said.

The family has also submitted a number of inputs to investigators. They urged that this case be immediately raised to the investigation stage and an official case title was carried out.

"We ask that this case be raised to the investigation stage and carried out a case title before that. In the case title later, we will also bring our experts as comparisons," he concluded.

Previously, Polda Metro Jaya investigators sent an audience letter to Arya Daru's wife and biological father. Information obtained by Arya Daru's wife, Meta Ayu Puspitasari and Arya Daru's biological father, Subaryo, had received the invitation letter.

The audience was held this afternoon at the Merro Jaya Police Ditreskrimum Building, South Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26, 2025, with discussions regarding the explanation of the results of the examination/investigation of Arya Daru's death to the family.
