Arya Daru's Death Is Considered Odd, Family Has New Evidence
The family again questioned the irregularities behind the death of Arya Daru Parlaungan (39) or ADP, a young diplomat from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) who was found dead in a boarding room in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.
Nicholay Aprilindo as ADP's attorney, alluded to the slow handling of these cases. In fact, Nicholay also mentioned the handling of the case of Alvaro Kiano Nugroho (6), a boy who was found dead after being reported missing eight months ago.
"Don't let it be like yesterday's case, how old children are, until eight months have just been known. This case of ADP has entered its fourth month. That's what we need to convey," he told the media at Polda Metro Jaya, Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Nicholay emphasized that the family asked for the full commitment of the Polda Metro Jaya to complete an investigation into ADP's death in a transparent manner.
"We believe the police are capable, as long as there is a correct intention. If you already know the truth and then distort it, it will be judged by the truth itself," he said.
Nicholay said that there were many irregularities that led to the alleged criminal act in ADP's death. According to him, the condition of ADP's body is impossible for the victim to do alone.

From the procedure of death, the process of death, it is odd. Wrapped in duct tape in such a way. Before being wrapped in duct tape, first wrapped in crack plastic. Is that possible for the deceased himself?' he said
"If you sleep, the mattress and pillow are neat and shrouded. Logically, can it be done by yourself?" he continued.
Nicholay assessed that the first crime scene actually left a number of big question marks. According to him, duct tape and plastic wrap should contain particles or breath marks that can reveal the victim's condition.
"Why was the duct tape cut when processing the crime scene? The sheared tape was also never presented as evidence at a press conference on July 29. What was shown was new duct tape in plastic, which was taken from the deceased's wife," he said.
Furthermore, related to the alleged involvement of certain parties in ADP's death, Nicholay emphasized that this was under the authority of investigators. Nicolay said the police were aware of the allegation, but were reluctant to reveal it.
"Let the investigator reveal. We can't assume. But I'm sure investigators know, it's just that there is reluctance or fear," he added.
He emphasized that his party had not brought additional evidence in the hearing because the invitation from the Metro Police was only for explanation.
"If the case is held, then we will present new findings, evidence, and experts who are ready for us to come. So far, the case has never been held," he said.
He also highlighted that SP2HP must be given to the family, even though the initial report was made at the Polsek and then withdrawn to Polda Metro Jaya.
We just want everything to be open. Don't cover up. Thanks to the truth is right, what's wrong is wrong. Don't lie between us," he said.
