Tangerang City Metro Police Arrest Online Taxi Driver Perpetrators Of Rape And Persecution

The Tangerang City Metro Police arrested an online taxi driver with the initials FG (49) who was suspected of raping and molesting a female passenger with the initials NG (30).

Tangerang Metro Police Chief Kombes Raden Muhammad Jauhari said the case began when the victim ordered an online taxi from Kukusan, Depok to Soekarno - Hatta Airport on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at around 03.30 WIB.

"The perpetrator who came to pick him up using a car that did not match the identity of the vehicle on the application," he said in a written statement, Tuesday, November 25.

Jauhari said, while on the way, the perpetrator pulled over on the shoulder of the toll road with a washing face' alibi. The perpetrator then threatened the victim with a firearm-like object, hit the victim, and forced the victim to take off his clothes before raping.

"The perpetrator hit the victim's neck and head with a firearm-like object and forced the victim to take off his clothes. The victim was eventually forced (to be raped) in a helpless condition," he said.

After carrying out the action, the perpetrator also did not take the victim to the airport, but returned to Depok and dispatched the victim in front of the alley of the victim's boarding house.

"The victim then reported to the Tangerang City Metro Police," he said.

Jauhari revealed, after identifying FG through the results of investigations and profiling, the perpetrator was arrested in the early hours of Sunday, November 23, 2025, at his rented house in Sukamaju, Cilodong District, Depok.

During the arrest, his party also secured a number of evidences, green Mazda2 cars, victim's clothes, two cellphones, wallets containing identities, spare bags, and the perpetrator's clothes. Not only that, the police also found a package of methamphetamine in the perpetrator's wallet.

"Urine tests show that the perpetrators are positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine," he said.

According to the perpetrator's statement, he admitted all his actions and admitted to consuming methamphetamine the day before the incident.

Jauhari said, his party also found objects resembling firearms used to threaten the victim, after previously the perpetrator gave false information about the location of the storage.

"Further development on November 24, 2025, finally found the object resembling a firearm stored under the driver's seat of the perpetrator's car," he said.

Currently, the perpetrators are being held at the Tangerang City Police for further investigation.
