Not Accurate, X Fixs Location Problems In The About This Account Feature
JAKARTA The new transparency feature of X, named About This Account, has received a strong reaction from its users. The reason is, this feature displays locations that are not entirely accurate.
About This Account displays information such as the user's joining time, where the account's location operates, how many users change their username, and what device users use to access the social media.
However, many users are disadvantaged because their account location is inaccurate. Big accounts like US President Donald Trump even appear to be located in Africa, not America. This inaccuracies are used for political war in the US.
Head of Product X, Nikita Bier, acknowledged the shortcomings in the feature. Bier also promised that the problem of accuracy of this data will be resolved on Tuesday, November 25. If you still find a difference in location, you need to report it.

This inaccurate account operation location can occur due to many things, including the use of a VPN or the old IP address from an account that has been inactive for a long time. This location can also change if the account holder travels to another country.
In line with the emergence of this problem, users will see a warning at the location when opening the About This Account menu. This warning is added so that users do not believe 100 percent of the locations displayed.
"The country or the area where the account is located can be affected by the latest travel or temporary relocation. This data may be inaccurate and can change regularly," the warning reads.
