For PTK, the sea is not just an operational space, but a living space that provides opportunities and a future for many families in Cilacap. Therefore, maintaining the coast is part of our integrity as a maritime service company. This Coastal Clean Up 2025 may look simple, but has great meaning because it shows that the changes start from small actions that are carried out together.
"Through the collaboration of the TNI, local governments, communities, and PTK personnel, we hope that this activity will be a momentum to increase awareness of maintaining the Turtle Bay ecosystem and ensuring environmental sustainability for future generations," he explained.
In its implementation, PTK together with the community carry out organic and inorganic waste cleaning, sorting waste, and transportation to official waste management facilities. This effort shows the high concern of various parties for coastal conditions that have an important role as the frontline for fisheries, tourism and maritime operations activities in the Cilacap area.
The types of waste collected are dominated by plastic, organic waste, and B3 waste, all of which are transported to the final disposal site for further management. As a form of support and sustainable empowerment, PTK also handed over cleaning facilities in the form of 1 unit of a viar motorbike, 10 units of trash cans, and 20 pairs of boots to coastal community groups.
