Exception Rejected, Trial Of Drug Abuse Ammar Zoni Continues To Case Examination Stage

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Central Jakarta District Court has issued an interim decision regarding the case that ensnared actor Muhamad Ammar Akbar, or better known as Ammar Zoni.

In its decision, the Public Prosecutor firmly rejected the objection or exception note previously submitted by the defendant's legal advisory team.

This decision marks a new chapter in the Ammar Zoni judicial process. With the rejection of the exception, the trial will continue to roll to the next stage, namely the main examination of the case.

"Rejecting objections or exceptions submitted by the Legal Advisory Team against the [defendant] Muhamad Ammar Akbar," said the prosecutor during the trial, Thursday, November 20.

This decision indicates that the argument of the legal team regarding formal or material defects in the indictment was not accepted by the prosecutor.

Furthermore, the Public Prosecutor provided justification for the decision by stating that the indictment prepared by the Public Prosecutor had met the requirements of the legislation.

Therefore, the indictment is considered legal to be the legal basis in this trial.

"Declaring that the indictment number reg PDM-270 / M.1.10 / 10/2025 dated October 8, 2025 on behalf of the defendant Muhamad Ammar Akbar has been prepared properly in accordance with the provisions of the legislation," continued the Public Prosecutor.

"And therefore the indictment can be used as the basis for examining this case," he continued.

As a consequence of the two points of the verdict, the Public Prosecutor officially ordered the trial to continue. The focus of the next trial will shift from procedural aspects to material evidence for the indictment that ensnared Ammar Zoni.

"Continuing the examination of the case number reg PDM-270/M.1.10/10/2025 on behalf of the defendant Ammar Akbar," concluded the Public Prosecutor.
