BNPT: Explosion Perpetrator At SMAN 72 Jakarta Access True Crime Community Group

JAKARTA - Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Komjen Eddy Hartono revealed that the perpetrator ABH (child in conflict with law) in the explosion incident at SMAN 72 Jakarta, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta, accessed the True Crime Community (TCC) group, an online community for the spread of radical ideas.

According to Eddy, the trend of online recruitment patterns is currently increasing. In modern psychological studies, this phenomenon is referred to as 'Memetic Radicalization' or 'Memetic Violence', which is a process in which one imitates the ideas and extreme behavior encountered in the digital space.

'Online recruitment is trending. In a psychological study, there is a term 'Memetic Radicalization' or 'Memetic Violence'. He (the accessee) is more about imitating ideas or behavior," said Eddy at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Tuesday, November 18.

Eddy explained that the perpetrator was suspected of imitating the behavior he found in the TCC group in question. The imitation pattern then developed into dangerous behavior that triggered reckless action.

"For example, in the case of SMA 72, it is known that the perpetrator Densus accessed his group, his name is TCC. True Crime Community. So that was it. So he can imitate what ideas or behavior happened so he can be said to be great, so that there is pride," explained Eddy.

To anticipate the psychological impact on children exposed to radical content, BNPT is now cooperating with a number of ministries and institutions, in fact, psychological experts are also involved in mapping the mental condition of exposed children.

"That's what we are now doing with the Ministry of PPA, KPAI, the Ministry of Social Affairs, involving psychological experts to map it out," he said

"So when it is psychologically known what happened, then we will carry out rehabilitation," he concluded.
