Tanjung Priok Port Police Food Task Force Inspects Rice Shops At Muara Angke Market, Here Are The Findings
The Tanjung Priok Port Police Food Task Force conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) of a number of rice shops at Muara Angke Market, North Jakarta, to ensure traders' compliance with the Highest Retail Price (HET) and the availability of rice Stability of Supply and Food Prices (SPHP).
Supervision is carried out in three stores, namely Dewi Sri Toko, Mukti Jaya Tirah Shop, and Toko Abadi Jaya. The police checked the suitability of the selling price of rice with the HET provisions and ensured the presence of SPHP rice in the field.
The inspection was carried out after the Metro Jaya Police Food Task Force previously found two shops Dewi Sri and Tirah Mukti Jaya who sold rice above the HET price. Traders argued that the price was caused by the expiration of the old stock with higher capital. The two shops have also received warnings and returned to selling rice according to the price set by the government.

"We make sure that the three points that are monitored are currently following the HET rules. Supervision will continue to be carried out every day," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Tanjung Priok Port Police, AKP I Gst. Ngr. Putu Krisnha, Monday (17/11).
From the inspection results, the police also checked the availability of SPHP rice. It was noted that Dewi Sri and Toko Abadi Jaya sold SPHP rice, while the Tirah Mukti Jaya Store did not provide these commodities because they were considered less attractive to the public.
"We will carry out daily supervision of the three stores and improve communication with traders to find solutions to existing obstacles in the field. This step is expected to maintain price stability and food supply in the Muara Angke area," he added.
