Patrol Results On Instagram, Motorcycle Thief Gang In Jakut Arrested By Officials

The Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of the North Jakarta Metro Police arrested 4 perpetrators of motorcycle theft in the Koja area, North Jakarta.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Onkoseno Gradiarso Sukahar, said the four suspects had the initials SH (28), TK (22), HA (30) and AS (23). They have different roles.

"The suspect with the initials SH is the captain or leader in the theft group. SH claims to be a planner in the act of motorcycle theft," Kompol Onkoseno told reporters, Friday, November 14, 2025.

Apart from being a planner and group captain, SH also acts as a jockey or pilot carrying a stolen motive.

"SH can also play a role in monitoring the situation. Furthermore, SH is also a key provider for letter T along with the key that has been set," he said.

In the action, SH was involved in the theft in 3 locations, namely Jalan F, Rawa Badak Village. Jalan Cikijang, Koja District. Dan JNT Cargo, Jalan Raya Cilincing, Kelurahan Lagoa, Koja, North Jakarta.

Meanwhile, the suspect with the initials TK acts as the executor of theft and the supplier of the letter T. TK also sells stolen motorbikes to collectors.

"The suspect HA acts as a jockey and a motorbike seller to the collector. Meanwhile, AS acts as the executor of the motorbike," he said.

The disclosure of the motorcycle theft case began with a cyber patrol on Instagram social media conducted by the North Jakarta Metro Police Resmob Opsnal Sub-Directorate.

Then there was a resident's report through one of the Instagram accounts. The post contains the crime of motorcycle theft committed by the suspect with the initials SH (28).

Then an investigation was carried out by the North Jakarta Metro Police Resmob Unit. When investigated, it was discovered that the perpetrator lived in the Cipeucang area, Koja. The perpetrator SH was arrested.

"From SH's statement, he admitted to stealing along with his colleague with the initials TK and HA residents of Koja. After the development was carried out by other perpetrators, the perpetrator was arrested and the key evidence was letter T," said Head of Resmob, AKP Seno.

From the results of the initial interrogation, this group committed motorcycle theft for 3 months with a total of more than 10 units.

"The perpetrator with the initials TK sold a motorbike to a collector on Jalan Samudra, Kampung Bahari, North Jakarta," he said.

In this group, continued AKP Seno, the perpetrators can steal more than one motorbike from each crime scene in the North Jakarta area.

"Usually the proceeds from selling motorbikes are used to buy methamphetamine. After being tested for urine, the four suspects tested positive for methamphetamine," he said.

As a result of his actions, the four suspects were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code and Article 362 of the Criminal Code.
