Reported To The Criminal Investigation Unit Of The Police, Ribka Tjiptaning Gives A Short Answer

JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Ribka Tjiptaning admitted that he would face a report made by the Anti-Hoax People's Alliance (ARAH) at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, Wednesday, November 12 regarding his remarks that mentioned the former President of the 2nd Republic of Indonesia, Suharto, as a MURDER of millions of people'.

Ribka when contacted by reporters, only answered briefly.

It was Muhammad Iqbal, a representative from the Anti-Hoax People's Alliance who reported members of the Indonesian House of Representatives as well as the Chairman of the DPP of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, Jakarta.

According to Iqbal, Ribka Tjiptaning's statement has the potential to mislead the public and be included in the category of hate speech and the spread of fake news.

"We came here to make a police report regarding the statement of one of the PDIP politicians, namely Ribka Tjiptaning, who stated that Pak Suharto was a killer related to the polemic of the appointment of the late Suharto as a national hero," he said.
