COVID-19 Cluster Emerges In Cipayung, Regional Representative Council Criticize Anies For Not Anticipating It, Consider The PPKM Just A Jargon
JAKARTA - Secretary of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta Regional Representative Council (DPRD DKI Jakarta) Jhonny Simanjuntak lamented the existence of The neighborhood cluster of COVID-19 in Cipayung and Ciracas, East Jakarta. For Jhonny, the Provincial Government of DKI led by Anies Baswedan is not anticipatory.
"I think the Provincial Government is not anticipatory. What I'm worried about is that this may be the tip of the iceberg. The phenomenon of Eid al-Fitr is only at neighborhood levels. Hopefully, this doesn't happen", Jhonny told VOI on Friday, May 21.
The emergence of the COVID-19 cluster in neighborhood levels is considered by Jhonny to show that the micro-scale Restrictions On Community Activities (PPKM) applied in Jakarta is ineffective. The handling of violations of health protocols is considered not optimal.
"The micro-scale PPKM seems only limited to jargon. It is not easy, judging by the behavior of the community that almost a year not being able to meet their loved ones. Maybe some people violate health protocols, such as taking off their masks, kissing cheeks, shaking hands after doing prayers. It does exist, but the presence of health officials and the task force is what's important", he continued.
For the PDIP Party politicians, the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta can no longer rely solely on encouragement to prevent COVID-19 cases.
Apparatus from the village to the neighborhood level must move. Civil Service Police also need to actively ensure that the health protocols are obeyed.
"Moreover, Jakarta has apparatus resources that up to the level of neighborhoods, it must be involved so that the micro-scale PPKM can be carried out", he continued.
Regional Police previously mentioned that 192 homecomings arriving in Jakarta were exposed to COVID-19. The amount is based on tracing results for 4 days since May 16.
"We found 192 people who were reactive or positive. From the people of Jakarta who performed homecoming", Metro Jaya Police Public Relations Chief Commissioner Yusri Yunus told reporters on Thursday, May 20.
Hundreds of people who were declared positive were from 40.916 homecomings. They underwent swab antigen tests at 14 sealing points and a door-to-door scheme conducted by officers.
"A total of 52 people have been sent to Wisma Atlet and 99 people have been asked for self-isolation", Yusri said.
Meanwhile, the rest are required to undergo isolation at the nearest hospital with the address of each traveler. Because they live outside the jurisdiction of Metro Jaya Police.

Self-isolation and tracing are essential to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Even in the Ciracas area, East Jakarta, there has been transmission so that the micro lockdown is being implemented.
"We must both think about how we can reduce the positive number of COVID-19. The easiest example is in East Jakarta in Ciracas and Cipayung. In Ciracas, it has spread to 10 people in the neighborhood, so we implement the micro lockdown there", said Yusri.
Yusri said initially that the exposure to COVID-19 in the Ciracas area was only three people. But it spread very quickly to seven others.
"There were 3 people who were tested positive for COVID-19, then it spread to the other 7 people in a few days. So, the total number of people who are exposed to the virus in that neighborhood is 10 people. Fortunately, it was discovered quickly and we did a check and swab antigen test. While in Cipayung, we did a swab antigen test on the 25 homecomings. 16 people tested positive and now all of them are doing self-isolation", said Yusri.
